A two-panel kitchen still. In the top panel, a blond man in a white chef’s coat leans in shouting, one hand pressing slices of bread against the side of a dark-haired woman’s head. She wears a white chef’s coat and a black-and-white checkered hat with a bright blue band; shelves of bottles sit behind them. In the bottom panel, a closer shot shows bread pressed to both sides of her face by two hands. Her eyes are down and her mouth is slightly open. Part of the blond man’s head is at the left edge, with a dark commercial oven behind her.

How to write this meme

Put the call-out or the dumb decision on top and the person who has to live with it on the bottom. Keep both lines short enough to read at a glance. The viewer should instantly see that person as the sandwich filling.

Caption zones

  • Top text — The call-out, question, or dumb decision that exposes the mistake
  • Bottom text — The person who is the idiot, or the punchline mistake they are stuck with

Example captions

  • Bottom text: Me, now the office meme

The top panel is the public call-out and the bottom is the person trapped in it, which matches a mistake everyone has feared.

  • Top text: Did you check the date?
  • Bottom text: Me, holding expired milk

The question sounds like an interrogation, and the bottom names a small, instantly visual fail.

  • Top text: Argues with the GPS
  • Bottom text: Still lost, still sure

The contrast between stubborn confidence and the defeated sandwich face sells the self-own.

  • Top text: Submits it at 11:59
  • Bottom text: Forgot the attachment

A last-second “win” collapses into the exact kind of obvious miss the image punishes.

  • Top text: Double-checks the lock
  • Bottom text: Keys still on the counter

The bottom panel’s resigned face fits the instant regret of locking yourself out after feeling careful.

Common mistakes

  • Describing the photo instead of the mistake
  • Writing a long story that will not fit on the image
  • Putting the punchline on top and the setup on the bottom
  • Using the template for sincere praise or a compliment
  • Leaving the bottom blank so it is only a reaction image
