How to write this meme
Write a clear setup in the top line, then let the bottom line be a short confession or choice that feels proudly wrong. Keep both lines punchy so the grin and pointing finger do the attitude work.
Caption zones
- Top text — Sets up the situation, identity, or thing being claimed/pointed out
- Bottom text — Delivers the punchline, confession, or smug conclusion
Example captions
- Top text: Me choosing sleep
- Bottom text: Me choosing one more episode
Classic expectation flip; the character looks like it is proudly picking the worse option.
- Top text: People with a normal morning routine
- Bottom text: Me microwaving yesterday’s coffee
Contrast plus self-roast fits the cute-but-feral energy of the figure.
- Top text: My budget after payday
- Bottom text: Labubu, matcha, and impulse tabs
Uses the character as the face of cute financial self-sabotage.
- Top text: When someone says “be mature about it”
- Bottom text: Absolutely not
Short bottom line lands hard against the smug pointing expression.
Common mistakes
- Over-explaining the joke in long sentences
- Ignoring the pointing gesture and writing unrelated captions
- Making both lines neutral so nothing feels smug or chaotic
- Using vague pronouns with no concrete situation
- Treating it like a wholesome compliment meme when the face reads mischievous
