How to write this meme
Pick a pleasure that feels slightly wrong, petty, or socially off. Keep top text concrete and bottom text short so the face does the emotional work.
Caption zones
- Top text — Sets up the odd, awkward, or guilty pleasure situation
- Bottom text — Delivers the punchline admission of enjoyment (often “Me Gusta” or a short twist)
Example captions
- Top text: Hearing my neighbor’s alarm through the wall at 5 AM
- Bottom text: Not my problem
Contrasts someone else’s misery with quiet schadenfreude the face sells perfectly.
- Top text: Correcting someone’s grammar in a heated argument
- Bottom text: Me Gusta
Admits a petty, unhelpful habit people recognize in themselves.
- Top text: When the meeting could’ve been an email and I’m still on mute
- Bottom text: Free paid hour
Workplace relatability plus mild guilt over doing nothing while paid.
- Top text: Refreshing the tracking page every 4 minutes
- Bottom text: Package is still in another state
Captures obsessive, pointless satisfaction mixed with mild disappointment.
Common mistakes
- Using wholesome or purely positive scenarios
- Writing long explanations instead of a sharp setup
- Forgetting the “guilty/creepy enjoyment” angle
- Making bottom text a full second joke that fights the face
- Being too vague (“when stuff happens”)
